Buiding on Faith Update: Construction to Begin Spring '08

Thanks to the patience and support of the Christ the King community and the tireless efforts of a handful of volunteers, we are finally moving forward together with the Building on Faith project. Selected members of the CTK Building Committee, along with our architect, Mike Daily of BVH, and our contractor, John Pittman of Fransen Pittman, appeared before the Archdiocesan Project Finance Review Committee and received their full support to proceed with the construction document phase of the Building on Faith project. Contracts are being drawn up and preparations have already begun for the approximately four-month CD phase. We have also made our final submittable for our Site Development Plan to the Jefferson County Planning Department, and expect to receive a favorable review within three months. With these important steps we are now in line to begin construction of the new parish center soon after Easter 2008. Please continue to keep the Building on Faith project in your prayers. If you haven't already made a sacrificial gift, please consider doing so soon. Every pledge helps bring the project closer to reality, and parishioner participation is vital to success!
